RABB Price Changes Coming 12MAR11

Bettys, I would love to talk to you for a moment. RockABetty Beauty has taken off in a huge and amazing way, and I am so grateful for that. Sales have skyrocketed and along with added sales, comes added responsilbilities, including shipments. You are all so amazing and I want your experience with RABB to be as wonderful, exciting and fun as possible. I hate that there are times when our turn around time goes up to sometimes 2 weeks. This is totally unacceptable - but you have all been so amazing and patient with me. I am striving to make our t.a.t. consistently 1-2 days, no questions, no exceptions. I also have a ton of fantastic new products that I have put on hold in order to handle the spike in sales. One of the ways I can think of to correct our t.a.t. as well as develop new products, is to hire on a worker to help with paperwork, etc. This added help will allow me to focus on customer service, product development and order fulfillment, and to do it in a much timelier manner. In order to offset this additional (but much needed) cost, some of our prices will be changing. This price change will go into effect on Saturday, March 12, 2011. Glitter Issues in Orders Placed during/after November 2010

*I have had a few customers let me know that they are having issues with our Lid Lusters that contain glitter. I have never had a problem with my glitter before and decided to contact my supplier about it. They had changed their cosmetic glitters and they are no longer labeled as eye safe, so I have pulled the glitter shades from my line until I can reformulate them with the appropriate .004 eye safe glitter. This only affects customers who ordered after November 2010 (when I replinished my glitter supply). I am truly sorry about this and I accept full responsiblity, as I should have confirmed the continuing safety of these glitters before I reordered. Glitter Lid Lusters will be back up and for sale again starting sometime in February 2011. Thank you for giving me a chance to make this right*

As far as November/December 2010 and January 2011 (placed before 17Jan11) orders - I will do what works best for each customer.

I am offering:
1: An even exchange(s) for shades that do not contain glitter, or
2: Store credit exchanges if you would like to try a different product entirely, or
3: A refund for purchase price of the products in question, or
4: I can send the updated version of the shade(s) when they are available.

I am truely sorry about this entire situation. I am working my best to correct it so that you can have the safest, most amazing products available! =]

We only use the best ingredients, including naturally occuring micas and oxides, cosmetic grade (face, eye, lip, and body safe) glitters, and thick, natural butters. We also stay away from ingredients like Bismuth Oxychloride and chemical preservatives, both of which can irritate the skin. At RABB you will only find skin-loving, non-toxic and safe products that are sexy, yummy and good for you :)

***Jar Size***

Every Mini Lid Luster Eyeshadow is packaged in a (full) 3 gram jar =]

Because no shade weighs exactly the same amount, we fill our jars by volume (not weight). This ensures that you receive a full jar of product, no matter which shade you order. Our mini jars DO NOT contain sifters (they take up precious eyeshadow space and because of our glitter-lust, have a tendancy to clog). However, they will fit a sifter if you have one on hand and choose to add it.

The glitters we use are cosmetic grade and have a particle size of 0.3mm (this is a larger cosmetic glitter, not an ultrafine glitter)

*Only a few of our shades contain carmine or ferric ferrocyanide. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about individual shades or their ingredients

**Because we offer loose pigments (instead of pressed powders) and most contain shimmer/glitter - RABB recommends using an eyeshadow primer or foiling serum to intensify shades and help shimmer/glitter stick to eyelids

***To avoid contamination of product, be sure to keep Lid Lusters dry and covered when not in use

Sampler Village interviews RockABetty Beauty

Please introduce yourself.



I'm a 27 year old with a healthy obsession of all things fabulous. I love creating my own makeup and have a huge passion for color. I started making vegan mineral makeup when I couldn't find the right shade of black eyeshadow/eyeliner for me. So I researched mineral makeup and ingredients and then shopped around for the absolute best products to use to make my cosmetics. My friends fell in love with the quality and fab-ness of my products, so I decided to turn it into a fulltime business. And that is how RockABetty Beauty came to be.



Why did you start an online business?



I first started selling to my friends/neighbors and ended up with a local following. I wanted to expand on my business and thought I'd try my hand at selling online. I heard about an online handmade venue called 'Etsy' and thought it would be a great place for me to start. I'm hoping to venture to our own site by the beginning of of 2011.



How long have you been selling online?



We opened our online shop on January 26, 2010.



What samples will you be including in the Sampler Village sample boxes for the month you are Mayor? (September, 2010)



I will be including mineral eyeshadow samples in the sample boxes.



What is your personal favorite product/item that you make?



My favorite product that we offer is our mineral eyeshadow in 'Shrapnel' - it's a gorgeous, shimmery copper-red shade loaded with rouge glitter.



Give us your thoughts on Sampler Village and being Mayor for a Month.



I am really new to the Sampler Village community, but I love everything about it. I love learning about other handmade artisans and trying new products and the sampler box makes doing that so easy. It is such a great idea and I am so excited to be apart of it. It's truly an honor to be featured along side so many amazing and talented people, and being Mayor is just icing on the cake.
